Report: Warriors Make Roster Move to Create Spot for Marquese Chriss

The Golden State Warriors won’t miss another chance to win a championship. They have already lost Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala and a few other players, so they will play safe this time. Klay Thompson won’t join the team until February, and Stephen Curry will have to take most of the load on the floor. That’s why the Warriors decided to add more talent to their roster, and Marquese Chriss is a perfect option for them.

The Golden State needs to add more depth to the frontcourt. In order to get Chriss, the Warriors cut a solid contributor on last year’s squad.

Wing Alfonzo McKinnie was released which makes enough room for Chriss.

McKinnie is an undrafted free agent out of Green Bay. He was playing in the G-League for years, and averaged 4.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game with the Warriors team that dominated the Western Conference for the fifth consecutive season.

Chriss is former first-round pick and eighth overall out of Washington. He was drafted in 2016, and spent two seasons with the Phoenix Suns. During this tenure with the team, he pulled out below-average numbers. He also spent some time with the Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers last season, and averaged 4.2 points and 3.3 rebounds in 12 minutes per game with both sides.

Many may say that he is a bust, but we do know that he has some insane skills on the floor. Chriss can still hit the rim and take advantage of his incredible athleticism. Steve Kerr has the power to unlock his potential, and we can already see him as a contributor for the Golden State.

When it comes to frontcourts, Los Angeles has the best one. That’s what Warriors’ Thompson says.

The Lakers are struggling with their own issues despite the fact that Anthony Davis and LeBron James make the best duo in the league at the moment. The Warriors lost a preseason game against the Lakers, and that confirms that their roster needs a boost.

The upcoming season will be full of challenges on both sides, and we can’t wait to see who wins this time.
