Cowboys’ Jerry Jones On Dak Prescott: ‘He’s Like Tom Brady, Because He’ll Beat You In Different Ways’

The Dallas Cowboys are getting ready to play the Green Bay Packers in Week 5. Dak Prescott is in the center of every talk. In the Week 4 game against the New Orleans Saints, the Cowboys struggled a lot. Prescott had 223 yards on 22-for-33 passing, and this is his lowest output in this brilliant season. Well, they haven’t lost the confidence, and the Packers are next on their list.

“Jones is also not lacking for confidence in the team’s potential, but he’s truly all-in on what Prescott can be. Currently in the midst of contract talks that have paused for the moment, but could land at any second between now and months from now, Jones was recently asked if Prescott’s abilities remind him more of team legends Troy Aikman or Tony Romo.”

Jones made a comparison, and it involves Tom Brady.

“Oh, I think he’s neither,” Jones told 105.3 the Fan on Friday. “I really do. I think he’s more like [Tom] Brady.”

“Now …we know Tom Brady, and [Prescott] is no Tom Brady,” Jones explained. “I didn’t say that. But the point is he will evolve and is evolving into a guy that will beat you. He will beat you with different circumstances and different players and different type teams.

“He will be on teams that have better defense than others. He will be on teams that have better protection than others. I think we got us one in Dak.”

Stephen Jones made a few comments on Prescott, too.

“Obviously Dak’s got some Super Bowls to win, and I sure hope that’s coming our way,” the team’s executive vice president said, via Jon Machota of TheAthletic.com. “We want to be on that train with him when he starts to hopefully put these Super Bowl wins together. Certainly, he has the ability to do that.”

Prescott will have to work really hard to turn things to a better side. New offensive coordinator Kellen Moore has an excellent scheme, so they are definitely ready to go for big win.
