Julian Edelman Celebrates Win Over Redskins With Amazing Instagram Post

The New England Patriots are now 5-0. Wide receiver Julian Edelman got the chance to celebrate another big win.

Edelman caught eight passes for 110 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots’ 33-7 win over the Washington Redskins. He took to social media again, and celebrated the win while announcing the next game.

First, we saw quarterback Tom Brady as Superman. Head coach Bill Belichick was a shark, then came the jet plane and “Buffalo Bill.” Edelman included himself after the Week 5 win, and used a pic of him wearing a suit. “Strong end to a business trip,” he wrote.

How will the Patriots’ offense play games without Edelman? TB12 completed passes to nine different pass-catchers against the Redskins. But the team wouldn’t have gotten this far without Edelman.

Edelman played the game with a chest injury. He took a few big hits and clutched his right side and the same area that h was holding when he suffered the chest injury in Week 3. He was a limited participant this week. The receiver was consistent throughout the game, and helped the team get on the scoreboard with the Pats first touchdown of the game.

The defense was more than brilliant. As usual.

“Yes, it was against the Redskins. But give New England credit for what was a tremendous defensive effort. The Patriots sacked Colt McCoy six times, intercepted him once and kept him off-balance all day. And though they surrendered a 65-yard touchdown run to wide receiver Steven Sims Jr. on a jet sweep in the first quarter, they held the Redskins to a paltry 2.98 yards per play otherwise.

“The striking thing about this New England front is that it’s so unpredictable. It’s not as simple as double-teaming someone like Khalil Mack or Aaron Donald. Five players recorded at least half a sack Sunday, from linebackers Dont’a Hightower (1 1/2 sack) and Jamie Collins (1) to rookie defensive end Chase Winovich.”

The Patriots are playing the New York Giants at home next week. They are tough players, and head coach Bill Belichick will have to create the ultimate game plan.
