Klay Thompson on Lakers: “Their Frontcourt Is Definitely One of The Best In the NBA”

The Golden State Warriors lost the preseason opener against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. Well, if you ask Klay Thompson, he will say that the Lakers’ frontcourt is one of the best in the league.

Thompson recovers from his torn ACL. He suffered the injury in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, and won’t return to the floor until February.

The new-look Lakers are definitely strong, but they lost a preseason game to the Brooklyn Nets.

There’s a rumor suggesting that Andre Iguodala may join the Lakers. If he gets bought out, he may sign with the Clippers or Lakers. That’s what ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said on an ESPN NBA preview show.

“It’s the two LA teams. It’s the Lakers and it’s the Clippers. If there is a buyout at some point and if Memphis can’t trade him, that’s where that will come down to those two team. Iguodala’s fine with seeing what the landscape looks like and then jumping in on the season a little later [during the season].”

When asked about his game with LeBron, Davis said that their two-man game will be quite a problem for opposing defenses.

“It’s tough to cover. You’ve got a guy like him going downhill and a guy like me who’s rolling, who’s a lob threat — you’ve got to pick your poison. You know he’s getting to his strong hand, he’s in the paint and then you got me rolling behind, so either he’s going to go finish, pass or a lob, especially when it’s a clear like that. It’s a tough play to guard.”

Three of the king’s 8 assists in Saturday’s preseason game came on passes to Davis. LeBron distributed the ball all over the court, but the ball found Davis.

The Lakers would have missed the games in China because of Morey’s tweet, but NBA Commissioner Adam Silver solved the problem, and the games were played. LeBron and Davis couldn’t defeat the Brooklyn Nets despite the fact that Kyrie Irving was injured. Well, preseason games aren’t as important as regular season games, and the powerful duo should work on the mistakes they made so far.
