Report: N’Keal Harry Ready to Provide Major Boost to Patriots Passing Game at Critical Time

The New England Patriots have a lot of injured players on the offensive side of the field, but they are expected to see some good news this week as they get ready for the New York Jets. First-round pick N’Keal Harry will come off injured reserve at an important time of the season as the Patriots have to find a solution for the injuries of Phillip Dorsett and Josh Gordon.

Gordon suffered a terrible injury last Thursday, and it was really scary to watch it. Harry is unexperienced player, but he sure brings some great skills to the field.

The rookie has been dealing with an ankle problem, but he is definitely close to full-strength, and this happens at the right time for the Patriots. At Arizona State, Harry finished his three-year tenure with 2,889 and 22 touchdowns.

“We hope,” head coach Bill Belichick said, “he’ll be ready to go . . . Physically he needs to be able to show he can go out there and participate competitively at the practice level that we’re at. Hopefully that’s where he’ll be, but we’ll make our final evaluations on that before we put him out there.”

“I think the fairest thing to do for any young player . . . is we have to get him back on the practice field,” Josh McDaniels said. “We have to make smart decisions about when he’s ready to do what. There’s things that hopefully we can build into and do quicker than others. I think the practice field and the results we get on the practice field will tell us what the right time is to use him in different roles.”

The Patriots have a lot of time to get ready for the upcoming games. There’s absolutely no reason to rush their rookie back on the field even with their offensive struggles. They are playing the New York Jets on October 21. They are undefeated at this point of the regular season, and hopefully, they will stay undefeated by the end of it. They have to keep everyone healthy and ready for the next challenges.
