Shannon Sharpe Makes Bold Prediction About LeBron-Davis Duo

LeBron James and Anthony Davis will take the Los Angeles Lakers really far this season. Well, that’s why the Lakers did their best to bring AD in Los Angeles. Fox Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe says that the duo will be of great help for the team, adding that they will both win a title.

“The Lakers looked really good. You had to be impressed with what you saw, Skip. I’m surprised how soon Anthony Davis and LeBron meshed. The NBA is on notice… AD is gonna be MVP of the league & Bron is gonna be MVP of the Finals.”

This isn’t the first time Sharpe praised Davis. He already did that when the Lakers acquired him.

“I believe Anthony Davis is the most talented player that LeBron James has ever played with. Dwyane Wade may be more accomplished, but as far as just pure talent, can’t touch him.”

In the 2018 season, Davis averaged 25.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.4 blocks and 3.9 assists per game, while shooting at 51.7 percent from the floor and 33.1 percent from three for the Pelicans.

LeBron is here to lead the team, but it looks like he has something to learn from his younger teammate.

“It’s never easy to build but it’s been very good because of the relationship we had before becoming team-mates,” he said.

“We able to be straight forward with one another and not sugarcoat anything and not take anything personal, being able to take constructive criticism. He gets in my ear, I get in his ear, but it’s all for the better of each other. Trying to make each other better and challenge each other, which ultimately will be better for the team.”

The king of basketball is amazed with Davis’ basketball intelligence. He talked about it after their preseason opener against the Golden State Warriors. These two helped the team win the game, and hopefully, they will win the next one, too.

“He’s very intelligent out on the floor,” he said. “He knows exactly where he wants to get on the floor. His ability to rebound and block shots as well – he’s a very efficient player.”
