Tom Brady Has More Rushing Touchdowns Than 10 Prominent Running Backs

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is much better than some running backs. ESPN made a list of 10 prominent NFL running backs who have less rushing touchdowns than the Patriots quarterback has in 2019. In Thursday’s game against the New York Giants, Brady rushed for two touchdowns, and improved his total for the season to three. This is more than den running backs who are well known to the world of football.

Brady has more rushing TDs than Marlon Mack, Frank Gore, David Montgomery, James Conner, LeSean McCoy, Leonard Fournette, Chris Carson, Alvin Kamara, David Johnson, and Adrian Peterson.

TB12 was really satisfied with his game last night.

“Yeah, we just grinded it out pretty good,” he said following the game. “Got kind of forced into one grouping there in the second half. I don’t think that’s ever happened in 20 years, but defense played great, special teams played great. Outside of a few plays, it would have been pretty good. So, we’re hanging in there.”

What does Brady say about his game and his success? If you ask him, he will say it’s team work.

“I think having a lot of perspective on things like this is where I like to come from. I don’t believe football is an individual sport,” Brady said on Monday during a radio interview on Westwood One.

“There’s nothing you can accomplish in football without everybody else doing their job. And I think I’ve always taken the football because of that. I’m not a golfer, I don’t play tennis. You look at some of these individual sports, and yeah it’s amazing, and there’s great accomplishment, but I think the joy in sports for me is the relationships that I’ve built with my teammates, with my coaches and with the organization I’ve represented. So because I’ve been fortunate to play in the same place for 20 years with great teammates, I’ve been able to pile up a lot of individual statistics, but the reality for me is all those, I share with all the guys that I’ve played with.”

The Patriots are playing the New York Jets on Oct. 21.
