Tony Romo Trolling Jets’s Expense Before Game Vs. Patriots

The New York Jets had an impressive game Sunday afternoon, and Tony Romo has something to say about it.

Romo and Jim Nantz discussed the game between the Jets and the Dallas Cowboys, and Romo decided to poke fun at the Jets.

“The Jets are 0-4, I think they can catch New England,” he said.

The former Cowboys QB added, “Nah, I’m kidding. C’mon. England might not lose this year.”

Well, we don’t really know if Romo is convinced that the Patriots may have an undefeated regular season. Jets’ quarterback Sam Darnold is pretty positive about the upcoming match against the Patriots.

“Perfect,” the second-year quarterback said when asked about following up the win over the Cowboys with a showdown against the Pats. “I wouldn’t want it any other way. I want to play the best. It’s great.”

Well, Darnold may not be that positive during the game.

Ian Rapoport reported that the Jets may play without a key player, and Darnold may not be as successful as he is without his key pass-catcher.

TE Chris Herndon suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain while running routes on Friday, source said, and he’s out this week and likely next week. But the belief is the pull is minor and his absence won’t be long. Herndon is waiting to make his debut because of his suspension.”

“The 23-year-old had a productive rookie campaign for New York, catching 39 passes for 502 yards and four touchdowns in 2018,” Darren Hartwell adds. “His presence would help boost an offense that ranks last in the NFL in passing yards (113.5 per game) and whose leading receiver, Jamison Crowder has just 174 yards through four games. Those numbers should improve with Darnold taking over for backup Luke Falk, but the young QB likely won’t have his top tight end against a Patriots defense that held the Jets’ offense scoreless in Week 3.”

The Patriots are ready for their seventh win. The Jets are pretty good on the field, and it will be a huge disaster if they defeat Tom Brady and his team. Let’s see what happens on Monday.
