Watch: Tom Brady Passes Peyton Manning For 2nd Place All-Time In Passing Yards

Drew Brees and Peyton Manning are the only football in the entire league history to throw more yards than Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Well, we have an update now, and Brady has just passed Manning.

Entering Thursday’s game against the New York Giants, the GOAT had 71,923 yards in his career, which put him at No. 2 on the league’s all-time passing list. There’s almost zero chance to see Brady pass Brees during Thursday’s game, but he could definitely pass Manning on the list with one throw against the New York Giants. And so he did. Manning finished his professional carer with 71,940 yards, and TB12 needed to throw for 18 yards on Thursday night to pass him and own the No. 2 spot on the all-time list.

TB12 played two seasons at No. 4, and he came at this position after passing Dan Marino during the Patriots’ 2016 regular season finale. Brady stayed at this ranking for the next two seasons, and it was about time that he moves up. Brady passed Brett Favre last week in the game against the Washington Redskins.

To pass Brees, TB12 had to throw for 2,922 yards against the Giants. The Giants’ defense has a lot of problems this season, but Brady can’t do that much in one game. Well, he will sure cut into Brees’ lead and come a bit closer.

If the Saints quarterback doesn’t return until Week 10, the GOAT will have four weeks to get close to him on the all-time list. If Brady can make at least 300 yards per game while Brees’ condition improves, TB12 can go about 1,200 yards closer to the all-time record. We wouldn’t be worried even if Brady doesn’t pass Brees, because he has so many other records under the belt.

“Brady currently holds multiple records, including: Most playoff wins, most playoff passing yards, most touchdown passes to different receivers and most Super Bowl wins, just to name a few.”

We are looking forward to see Brady hit another milestone or break another record. That’s how he rolls – one milestone at a time, and there are many more to come.
