Watch: Mohamed Sanu’s First TD As Member Of Patriots

Mohamed Sanu didn’t score a touchdown in his debut with the team last week against the Cleveland Browns. However, things developed perfectly for him in the game against the Baltimore Ravens. Unfortunately, Sanu’s first touchdown for the Patriots didn’t help the team win their Week 9 game.

The Ravens scored 17 points by the second quarter of the primetime game, and the Pats had 0. Cyrus Jones muffed a punt for Baltimore, and New England took over the red zone. Quarterback Tom Brady hit Mohamed Sanu with a four-yard pass for the score. New England made it 17-7.

Sanu had his first touchdown as a Patriot, and he is also the 74th receiver TB12 has thrown a touchdown pass to.

The receiver was well aware of the strong offense Baltimore had. “They played a little more zone than expected, but we were able to adjust to it and try to change things up,” Sanu said during the post-game press conference.

He played almost the entire game, and looked good on the field. “We are in pretty good shape. We knew what we were getting into and we knew what to expect. This was the kind of game that you wanted to play in as an athlete, big time games. Rise up to competition. You want those kinds of moments, but we have got to make the kind of plays in order to get the win, and we did not do that today. It is one play at a time, you cannot get too high, you cannot get too low. You have got to check it off and get on to the next play.”

The Patriots offense has been struggling a lot this season, and Sanu became aware of it. The defense makes up for the damage. “I am getting better and better each step of the way,” Sanu said. “I still have a ways to go, but I am getting better and better with it. I am just learning day by day. I am just being me. If they want me to do something, I am going to go ahead and do it. I am a competitor, so I am going to find a way to do the best at it that I can.”
