NFL Releases Statement Saying It’s ‘Disappointed’ In Colin Kaepernick

Kaepernick had his own workout outside of Atlanta, and the NFL released a statement about his decision to forgo their plan.

The NFL was disappointed that the quarterback didn’t appear for his workout. He informed officials of this decision at 2:30 p.m. The league’s session was organized to give Colin what he said he wants, but he didn’t use the opportunity to show his football readiness and desire to return to the field. Representatives of twenty-five teams showed up for the workout, and all 32 teams would have received video of Kaepernick’s workout and interview made by the Atlanta Falcons video crew.

The NFL is convinced that their effort was enough, adding they “made considerable effort to work cooperatively with Kaepernick’s representatives.” His agent was invited to suggest questions for the interview, and the NFL even allowed Kaepernick to bring his own receivers. The quarterback was also informed about the drinks he was supposed to run at the workout. Nike was allowed to shoot an ad featuring Colin and mention NFL teams present at the workout.

Colin moved his workout to a facility an hour from Atlanta Falcons Flowery Branch facility. No one got a heads up until NFL saw the Twitter statement. Kaepernick was a no-show for 25 NFL teams at Falcons facility waiting at 3:00 pm.

It looks like Kaepernick’s representatives didn’t like the standard liability waiver sent by the NFL.

Kaepernick’s representatives also released a statement regarding the surprising development of events. According to this statement, things didn’t look as good as the NFL presented them to be.
