Rob Gronkowski: ‘I wouldn’t say ‘never coming back’

Retired Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski decided to retire in the offseason, but he may return at some point. The former tight end shared a video suggesting that he has a big announcement to make Tuesday morning. Patriots fans started talking about his potential return, but the announcement was in no way related to Gronk;s comeback. It was an announcement of a beach party Gronk is hosting in Miami the week of Super Bowl LIV.

Right after making the announcement, Gronk told ESPN’s Mike Reiss that h didn’t rule out a potential return. Some day.

Gronk is still young, and he probably needed some time off the field. He didn’t say “never coming back,” because he is still fit and strong enough for the game. What’s even more important, Gronk feels good, and he said maybe he needs one year off. Or maybe two seasons.

Going back to the field will always be an option for Gronk. He tries to stay in shape, and doesn’t really stress about his return.

“I wouldn’t say ‘never coming back,’ ” Gronkowski said. “I’m 30 years old. I’m young. I still stay fit, still watch the game whenever I can, still enjoy it. I’m feeling good, but you know, one year off could possibly be the case. Or maybe two years off, man. It’s always an option in the back of my head. It’s not like I’m not staying in shape and not doing anything. I’m never stressed over it.”

A lot of fans got annoyed with Gronk’s “big announcement.” Well, Gronk is having a lot of fun at the moment, and he will probably keep teasing everyone. Hopefully, we will see him back with the Patriots one day.

Will Rob Gronkowki come home?

Patriots owner Robert Kraft talked to the tight end about his reinstatement. Gronk will have to make a decision until Nov. 30, but it looks like he has made one. We won’t see him playing with his former team this season, and he is expected to sign his retirement papers.

Well, impossible is nothing, and Gronk may easily change his mind and return to the field.

The Patriots are having an excellent season despite their offensive struggles. Tom Brady keeps criticizing the offense for their lack of points, but we believe this will be a motivation for the team. New England is 9-1 at this point of the season, and can already see them play the big game in February. Gronk will be there too. Well, he is throwing a party. Not really playing. Let’s see if he changes his mind by the end of this month.
