Report: Patriots Have Made Their Decision On Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown apologized to Patriots owner Robert Kraft, and this was enough for fans to start talking about his retirement. Everyone thought that this would bring Brown back in New England. Some even said that quarterback Tom Brady lobbied for the troubled receiver, saying that he actually told Brown to write that tweet. We don’t know if that’s true, but we do know that the New England Patriots have made a decision.

Brown’s apology had no effect on the organization, and they won’t re-sign him.

The NFL has opened an investigation into Brown’s situation. His former trainer filed a lawsuit accusing him of three counts of sexual assault including forcible rape. There was also another woman who claimed he acted inappropriately when she was painting a mural in his Pittsburgh home.

The troubled player can’t return until the NFL completes the investigation. Well, that doesn’t mean a thing, because the Patriots don’t even think of bringing Brown back to the roster.

Jeff Howe of The Athletic reported on Friday that New England has no plans for the wideout. The team signed Brown on Sept. 9, and he was hit with a lawsuit a few days later. According to Howe’s source, had the Patriots known of the lawsuit beforehand, they would never sign him in the first place.

Antonio Brown won’t come back

The receiver played just one game wearing a Patriots uniform. He was active in the Week 2 game against the Miami Dolphins. In this game, Brown had four catches for 56 yards and a touchdown. Sports Illustrated released their report right after the game, including the allegation of sexual misconduct.

After this report, the receiver sent messages asking his associates to look into the woman who was “awfully broke.” His messages also includes pictures of her children. Let’s not forget that this woman never asked money.

That was the final drop, and the Patriots cut Brown after learning about these messages.

Everything points to the fact that Brown will never play another game in the NFL. That’s what he said in one occasion. The receiver promised not to play a single game in the league that treated him badly.
