Watch: LeBron Unleashes Insane Dunk In Game Vs. Pelicans

Anthony Davis played against his former team. The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 114-110, and it was an incredible game. Of course, if you ignore the fact that Davis was booed when he stepped on the court and every time he touched the ball. Davis played 2 ½ hours fighting through his competitive opponents and hostile crowd. LeBron James was here to support him, and his insane dunk healed the wounds.

Following the big win over the Pelicans at Smoothie King Arena, Davis had a walk-off interview. He talked about his dominance, facing his former team and hearing the boos. LeBron stood at the end of the court for his teammates to finish talking.

LeBron and Davis embrace following the win over Pelicans

Once the interview was over, the teammates embraced each other. Davis scored a season-high 41 points, and LeBron finished with 29 points and 11 assists. After congratulating each other for the win, LeBron and Davis walked toward the entrance tunnel. Lakers fans drowned out the boos with their loud cheers. Davis will remember this moment for a really long time.

Davis said they like to wait for each other, adding that it’s something they do for whoever’s out there talking so they don’t leave anybody behind. Lakers fans are important for players. It was a game packed with Pelicans fans, and for him it felt like another game where they were at home.

The former Pelican called this place home for seven years. He faced his former teammates eight months after requesting a trade and four months after the Pelicans sealed the deal. Davis heard loud boos, and he expected something like this.

LeBron understands this better anyone else. He received a similar treatment for the first time he came back to Cleveland with the Miami Heat.

Davis didn’t really pay attention to the sounds, and he was focused on helping the team win their fifteenth game for the season. It was their ninth consecutive win, and they won’t stop here. We are looking forward to the next win. This will be an interesting season for every player on the Lakers roster.
