Bill Belichick Tell Never-Before-Told Story About Threatening To ‘Cut’ Tom Brady

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was a revelation as a studio analyst. You didn’t really think about this, right? The head coach made his debut last Friday on NFL Network’s “NFL 100 All-Time Team.” Belichick will join forces with co-hosts Rich Eisen and Cris Collinsworth. They will reveal the league’s all-time team over the course of the six-part series. The most incredible part came Friday night, and the Patriots nation loves it.

Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis joined the panel after being added to the all-time team. The discussion was full of spicy details, and at one point, the Patriots head coach shared an outrageous story about the times when he wanted to cut Tom Brady. Well, it was a joke, and Belichick threatened to cut the quarterback if he ran a certain play.

“I told Brady, if you throw that Y-Shake on Ray Lewis, I’m gonna cut you,” Belichick said.

What did Brady?

“If I throw that Y Hook route on Ray Lewis, you deserve to cut me,” he said, per Belichick.

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are off to another win

When it comes to Brady and his head coach, they are getting ready to confront the Houston Texans. The Patriots were affected by a flu bug, and a lot of players were listed as questionable.

As confirmed to a Patriots report, 17 players are listed as questionable for Sunday’s contest against the Texans. In other words, more than a third of the Patriots’ 53-man roster is ruled questionable. Eight of these players missed sessions due to flu this week.

Offensive tackle Marcus Cannon was a limited participant, and he played through that same issue in the game against the Dallas Cowboys. Third-string tight end Ryan Izzo (illness) is the only player ruled to miss the game. Quarterback Tom Brady (elbow) was removed from the injury report and he was full participant in Friday’s session. Linebacker Kyle Van Noy (illness) and defensive lineman Byron Cowart (head) were added to the report Friday. Van Noy sat out the Patriots’ practice, and Cowart was a limited participant.

The Patriots will have to try really hard to win this game, but they can do pretty much everything to win it.
