Draymond Green Provides Update On His Finger Injury

The Golden State Warriors made the finals last season, but lost two great stars to injuries. Kevin Durant got a terrible injury that will keep him on the sidelines in 2019. He also signed with the Brooklyn Nets. Klay Thompson tore his ACL in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. He was expected to come back in February, but it looks like Thompson will miss the entire season. Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and D’Angelo Russell had a big role with the team. Unfortunately, things are far from good for the team. Curry broke his hand, and Green suffered a finger injury.

Curry, Green and Russell could’ve help the team compete through the 2019-20 season until Thompson’s return. But, the season started terribly, and the Warriors are 1-4 at this point. Curry will be out for at least three months. He broke his hand in the loss to the Phoenix Suns. Following the Warriors’ loss to the San Antonio Spurs Friday night, Green told media members that he suffered a finger injury.

The team confirmed it as a sprained left finger as noted by ESPN’s Nick Friedell.

Green said his finger is pretty sore, adding that he was unable to grip the ball the whole game. If by any chance didn’t notice, he was making one-handed, right-handed passes and dribbled left with his right hand. He couldn’t grab the ball, but he really expects a speedy recovery.

The player won’t join his team in the game against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night. He will miss the next few games as confirmed by head coach Steve Kerr. Kerr will be careful with Green, and they won’t rush him into action.

Kerr said they will maintain a good schedule with Draymond minutes-wise and games-wise. They will take a really good care of him.

How far will the Warriors go this season? They are plagued with injuries, and the situation doesn’t look good at all. Hopefully, Kerr will think of a solution, but there isn’t too much hope in their care. Not after losing Thompson and Curry.

It’s a long season, and impossible is nothing.
