Jason Whitlock Reacts To Ravens’ Win Over Patriots

Jason Whitlock has every right to brag around. He decided not to go against the New England Patriots after Tom Brady helped the team win eight games in a row. But, he changed his mind. Whitlock actually bet against head coach Bill Belichick and his team, saying that the Baltimore Ravens will be the first team to hand Brady a loss this season.

The “Speak For Yourself” host was pretty sure that second-year signal-caller Lamar Jackson and his Ravens would run over the Patriots. The Ravens did that on Sunday. New England was defeated at 37-20 at M&T Bank Stadium. Whitlock was right.

Instead of praising his ability to predict, Whitlock had a surprising reaction to the 37-20 record.

Even the host said that his statement would shock everyone. According to him, it’s more shocking than anything he said last week about the Patriots and their opponents.

Whitlock was impressed by the Patriots more than he was with the Ravens. If there was a postseason rematch, the Patriots would definitely win. That’s what Whitlock said. The Patriots jumped out of a 17-0 hole, and early in third quarter drove toward a go-ahead touchdown when wide receiver Julian Edelman fumbled the ball. Ravens defensive back Marlon Humphrey got the ball, ran 70 yards for a touchdown and gave the Ravens back their double-digit lead.

Jason Whitlock predicts a win

If Edelman didn’t fumble at that point of the game, TB12 and his team would win the game. We can argue the Baltimore gave New England a path back into the match with two fumbles in the second quarter. Whitlock went to explain that head coach Bill Belichick and the defense found a way to slow down Jackson and the Ravens offense after the first quarter.

After the initial 17-0 lead, the second-year signal-caller ran for just 24 yards on 11 carries. Belichick found a solution for the Ravens offense in the first quarter of the game. He will definitely improve his team for the rematch.

Whitlock also praised the bond Brady created with Mohamed Sanu. Once again, Belichick-coached teams have season-long improvement, and that’s what makes the Pats the best team in the league.
