Jerry Rice Pays Ultimate Praise To Patriots WR Julian Edelman

The National Football League celebrates its 100^th season, and pundits are analyzing everything that’s happened so far. Best quarterback, greatest receiver… When it comes to receivers, Jerry Rice is probably the first name that pops in your mind.

Well, the great Rice has something else to say about this.

Rice is well known for his impeccable footwork. He appeared on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football,” and talked about the current best receiver. The legend didn’t think twice before bringing out a name.

According to him, covering Edelman is impossible. A player is unable to do that. Edelman has the power to get separation from his opponent and make a catch. Well, we knew this. Edelman has been of great help for the Patriots in their effort to win a Super Bowl.

Rice is right

The NFL legend wasn’t done praising Edelman. He had great words for his willingness to sacrifice his body by running routes up to the middle of the field.

Edelman can’t brag with the same statistical feats as Rice, but they have a few great things in common. Rice and Edelman are two of seven receivers to be named Super Bowl MVP. That’s not something you ignore.

In his nine games of the regular season, Edelman was able to catch 63 of the 90 targets for 663 yards and four touchdowns.

It’s definitely great to hear such wonderful words from the greatest receiver of all time. This will sure give Edelman more motivation for the rest of the season. He is doing a great job, and the Patriots need his talent on the field.

New England lost the last game to the Baltimore Ravens, but it was more like a game full of mistakes. Both coaches and players miscalculated Lamar Jackson and his team, and it all ended with a 37-20 loss. Well, it was a great lesson for everybody, and they will have enough time to learn from their mistakes and fix any damage. The Pats are having their bye week, and the Philadelphia Eagles are next on their list.
