LeBron, Davis Dominate Over Thunder As Lakers Won

The Los Angeles Lakers got yet another victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder Friday night and it was an all around great game. Right now, there isn’t much going wrong with the team.

LeBron James had a tough shooting night but still managed to throw up a double-double. Anthony Davis also posted another double-double with 33 points and 11 rebounds. There is a lot to be said with how good LeBron and Davis are playing right now and they aren’t looking to slow down anytime soon.

With a duo like this, the Lakers are looking almost unstoppable. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t issues worth fixing. It was a tough night defensively, allowing a season high 127 points to Oklahoma City. However the offense more than made up for it.

LeBron continued his high level play last night, posting 23 points and 14 assists.

The Lakers did struggle stopping the Thunder at some points throughout the game, however. They even let Oklahoma City get back into it after trailing by 15 points. Coach Frank Vogel will certainly not be happy about this comeback. But OKC is a young and talented team that plays hard. So games like this will certainly come.

“It was a tough one,” Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, a point guard from OKC said of the loss. “We’ve had a lot of those this year. It’s something we’ll all learn from and get better from.”

When the shots are falling for LA they are going to be a hard team to beat. But the team needs to pick it up defensively or these kinds of games could come back to bite them. They can use this game as a learning experience. Road wins are never easy to come by in the NBA, especially at a place like OKC.

Next up for the Lakers are the Memphis Grizzles tonight. Then they will head to San Antonio to take on the Spurs which is never an easy win. We will see what this team is made of coming up soon as this is a tough little stretch of games.
