LeBron Explains What AD Will Face In Return To New Orleans

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers will play the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night. This will be a big game for the team because LeBron’s team will try to stack another win. Well, this game is special in so many different ways. It will be Anthony Davis’ “returning home” game, and we all what that means. LeBron knows it too.

The king of basketball left the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2010 and 2018, and his returning-home games weren’t always accompanied with applause and cheers. He also left the Miami Heat in 2014 to re-join the Cavaliers. In 2010, the crowd booed him, and Cavs fans didn’t give him a warm welcome when he returned with the Heat. Things changed a lot when he returned with the Los Angeles Lakers last season. Cleveland was grateful for the championship they won with LeBron, and made him a tribute video.

How will the Pelicans act on Wednesday? Davis will return as a Laker, and this is actually his first game against the organization he requested a trade from. King James and Davis went through similar situations.

Of course, Davis’ situation is slightly different. LeBron promised to help Davis feel as comfortable as possible once they arrive in New Orleans. The Lakers will join Davis in his “struggle” to help him accept the challenge.

“It was just a weird feeling, it was an eerie feeling for me,” LeBron said. “Our situation can be a little different, but we can both relate to being with a franchise for seven years, being a franchise player and trying to take the franchise to a place where it hadn’t been before… It’s out job as his teammates to try to make him feel as comfortable as possible once we get to the game and make him feel like we’re going through it as much as he’s going through it.”

The Los Angeles Lakers are much better than Davis’ former team, and he shouldn’t be worried about losing to his former teammates. LeBron is here to help him score, and that’s pretty much everything he needs to think of. And the crowd of course. His former fans may not be too happy to see him wearing a Lakers uniform. Let’s see what happens on Wednesday.

The Lakers had the best start of the season. This is actually LeBron’s best start of a season in his professional career. His team lost just two games, and they try super hard to win games that don’t require that much trying. King James keeps scoring triple-doubles, and he is ready to defeat New Orleans. It will be a game worth watching. Don’t miss it!
