LeBron James Confirms He Wanted Carmelo Anthony In L.A.

Carmelo Anthony got another chance to play in the league. He agreed to a non-guaranteed deal with the Portland Trail Blazers, and his good friend, LeBron James was really happy about his success.

Many players reacted to Anthony’s new deal in the NBA, but LeBron had the most hilarious. The Lakers superstar made comments on Melo’s deal with Portland, and admitted to his fans that he wanted his friends in Los Angeles.

Everyone had doubts, including Carmelo

When asked if he doubted whether his friend would ever play an NBA game again, LeBron said pretty much everyone had doubt, including Melo himself. LeBron really hoped that his friend gets an opportunity. When his name was mentioned in the same sentence with the Lakers, LeBron hoped to see Anthony wearing a Lakers uniform. LA had a lot of injured players, and King James wanted Anthony on the roster. Well, the Lakers didn’t want Melo, and LeBron still doesn’t know the reasons behind this move. However, he is happy that Anthony got the chance to come back and do what he always wanted to do. Play basketball.

Anthony and LeBron are longtime friends. They are two of the members of the infamous “banana boat” crew alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul. Seeing LeBron and Anthony play together wasn’t really possible, but it was always something on the edge of our mind. Anthony’s recent stint on the free-agent market added fuel to the fire.

“I think everyone had doubt. Including himself, probably,” LeBron said according to Harrison Faigen of SB Nation. “I always hoped that he would get an opportunity. When his name was brought up with us, I hoped that opportunity presented itself, as well. When we had our injuries I was hoping he could come be a part of here, and it didn’t happen for whatever reason. But I’m happy that he has the opportunity to go back and play the game that he loves to play.”

When it comes to LeBron and his game with the Los Angeles Lakers, he is doing a really good job. The Lakers are the best team in the Western Conference, and it doesn’t look like they will give up now. Their players are healthy, and head coach Frank Vogel is doing great.

It will be a tough season, and every team will try to make the playoffs. We aren’t really sure about the Golden State Warriors, because they lost their star players to injuries, and Kevin Durant left in free agency. So, they are out of the game. The rest of the NBA is pretty tough though.
