Patriots Release Injury Report Ahead Of Game Vs. Texans

The New England Patriots were hit with the flu bug, and eight players missed Wednesday’s practice. Just two missed Friday’s session, and the team released the final injury report. It doesn’t look good at all. New England may play without some of its key players. The Houston Texans are tough.

According to this report, 17 New England Patriots players are listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against Houston. That makes more than 30 percent of the Patriots’ 53-man roster. Eight of these players missed practice due to illness this week. Offensive tackle Marcus Cannon was limited participant, and he played through that same illness in the game against the Dallas Cowboys. Third-string tight end Ryan Izzo (illness) is the only player ruled to miss the game. Quarterback Tom Brady (elbow) was removed from the injury report and he was full participant in Friday’s session. Linebacker Kyle Van Noy (illness) and defensive lineman Byron Cowart (head) were added to the report Friday. Van Noy sat out the session. Cowart was limited participant.

The Houston Texans are a tough opponent, but the Patriots have seen tougher opponents. Players will struggle, and some of them will play through an illness. Head coach Bill Belichick reevaluated players, and he wasn’t really happy to confirm that his team is plagued with flu. Sunday’s game is an important game, and we believe that the Patriots will find strength to defeat the Texans. They will have to use every weapon on the field, and Tom Brady will do his magic. The offense needs to step up, too. Brady was really specific about their struggles and the lack of performance. Game on, Pats!
