Patriots Still Won Sunday Night Football Despite Being On Bye Week

The New England Patriots have their bye week, meaning they had quite some time to get ready for the game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Quarterback Tom Brady and his team lost the game to the Baltimore Ravens, and this week off was more than welcome. But, the Patriots still one.

New England’s best competition for the AFC East title is the Buffalo Bills. They entered this week to defeat the Cleveland Browns and come within a match of the Patriots in the standings. Things didn’t go the way they planned, and the Bills lost 19-16.

The Bills are a 6-3 team, and Brady’s Patriots are 8-1. They increased their lead in the standings by another big name, because the Bills lost their rhythm against the Browns team and were unable to capitalize on a prime opportunity to dethrone TB12 and Co.

This doesn’t change the fact that the Patriots still have great competition for the No. 1 seed in the AFC because the Baltimore Ravens are the only team that handed the Pats a loss in the regular season. They still stay one game behind New England.

The Bye Week brought a win

Outside of the Ravens, the Patriots nation can sleep well at night knowing that the Kansas City Chiefs failed on the road at Tennessee. The Indianapolis Colts lost a home game against the Miami Dolphins. We all know what that means.

The New England Patriots have to be satisfied knowing that unless something unexpected happens, the chances of having their team head to the postseason are really high.

Can you imagine seeing Rob Gronkowki join the Patriots? Although there’s zero chance to see this happen, we would to have the Patriots reunited for the playoffs. Patriots owner Robert Kraft would gladly have the tight and back. He even told Gronk that it would be nice to have him back. Well, this is unlikely to happen, because Gronk left the game in pain.

One way or another the Patriots are on a good way to win their seventh title. It’s a long season, and the schedule is really tight in the second half of the season.
