Report: Patriots Give Injury Update On Edelman, Dany Shelton For Week 11 Game

The New England Patriots enjoyed their bye week, and it’s time to go move on with the regular season. The team lost the game to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9, and they are off to a big win against the Philadelphia Eagles. Who is playing? The Patriots have provided an injury update on Edelman and Shelton.

One of the Patriots run-stuffers suffered an injury ahead of the game against the Eagles. Defensive tackle Danny Shelton was added to the injury report for the first time this season. He was limited participant in Wednesday’s practice. The Patriots lack depth along the D-line, and this is one of their defensive shortcomings. Shelton’s status will be observed this week.

Safety Patrick Chung and tight end Matt LaCosse were limited participants Wednesday. Chung returned to practice after missing two sessions. Special teamer Nate Ebner wasn’t on the practice field.

Will Shelton play?

The bye week gave enough time to some players. Wide receivers Julian Edelman and Gunner Olszewski, running backs James White and Rx Burkhead, guard Shaq Mason and tight end Ryan Izzo were removed from the injury report after being limited participants in Week 9.

The Eagles are a tough opponent, and they are in a tight NFC East. It’s a big game for the team and they will try to continue their win streak to three. The Eagles outplayed the Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears. However, quarterback Tom Brady is pretty positive about the outcome of this game, and Phil Simms agrees with him.

Simms knows that the Eagles have struggled with consistency this season. They are developing perfectly, but they have one fatal flow. The Super Bowl LII rematch won’t go in their favor, because Philadelphia has issues with its secondary. According to Simms, the Patriots will win the game.

Philadelphia’s pass defense was allowed 310 passing yards or more in four of nine games and many scores through the air in five of nine games. The Patriots’ pass-catching unit isn’t dangerous, but they can definitely handle the Eagles’ defense. Michel, White and Burkhead are healthy, and they are definitely dangerous. It’s a big game, and we have favorites.
