Report: Patriots Reveal N’Keal Harry’s Status For Game Vs. Ravens

The New England Patriots are ready to play N’Keal Harry. The team will activate the rookie wide receiver off injured reserve head of their game against the Baltimore Ravens. The information was confirmed by Ian Rapoport from NFL Media. Harry had to be activated prior to Saturday at 4 p.m. ET in order to join the team for their play.

N’Keal Harry has been working with the Pats for two weeks, but head coach Bill Belichick had yet to confirm if the rookkie will be activated. New England waived Josh Gordon and made an empty spot by releasing tight end Eric Tomlinson.

“He works hard,” Belichick said. “He’s worked hard at everything — special teams role, offense. So, yeah, we’ll see how it goes here for the weekend.”

Harry will join Julian Edelman, Mohamed Sanu, Phillip Dorsett, Jakobi Meyers, Gunner Olszewski and Matthew Slater at wide receiver. Meyers or Olszewski  may be made inactive to make enough room on the 46-man gameday roster for Harry.

“I think N’Keal’s been working hard,” Belichick said in a conference call with reporters. “Even though he hasn’t been able to participate in practice until recently, he’s been able to do other things — train, study, watch film, keep up with the terminology and game plan adjustments that we make. And then more recently, he has been able to get on the field and primarily take scout-team reps but also do other things, individual drills and some of the other competitive drills and so forth that we’ve done. It’s definitely improving.

“It’s good to have him back out there and see him working. I’d say each day, as you would expect, a little more improvement and confidence and taking things a little bit further than the day before. But he’s missed a lot of time. He still has a long way to go. He’s definitely trending in the right direction. We just have to evaluate where it is and what helps the team the most here.”We don’t have much information about Harry’s role, but there’s a huge chance that he takes the same role as Gordon.

New England plays the Ravens at 8:20 p.m. ET.
