Steve Kerr On LeBron: ‘Probably the best athlete to ever walk this planet…’

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is the greatest player in the NBA. Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr knows that, and he has all the respect in this world for LeBron. Kerr admits LeBron is probably the best athlete to ever play the game.

The Golden State met up LeBron in four consecutive Finals and won three of them. LeBron shut down Kerr’s injury-plagued team Wednesday night. Kerr talked about the generation’s best player, and used some nice words to praise the king of basketball.

“Probably the best athlete to ever walk this planet.”

Well, we are sort of surprised. Kerr is a person who suited up with one Michael Jordan in his playing career. But, a great coach will always admire the best player.

The best athlete on Earth

LeBron is a top-five player in NBA history. He may be the best. There’s an ongoing discussion about the greatest of all time, and it’s always between him and Jordan.

But, Kerr talked about the best athlete ever. All sports. We have Jim Thorpe, the Williams sisters, Jim Brown, Michael Phelps, Jesse Owens, Pele and so many others.

Well, Kerr is pretty sure about his pick, and he gave LeBron the best praise an athlete can ever receive. He is right about this.

LeBron joined the Los Angeles Lakers to win a title, and his debut season was a complete failure. He suffered a serious groin injury, and missed too many games. The king didn’t join the Lakers to lose games. He joined the team to help them win a title and show everyone that he still got the moves.

That’s exactly what happened this season. The Lakers acquired Anthony Davis through a trade, and gave up most of their young players. Davis is helping LeBron in the process, and the king scores triple-doubles. Yes, he is ready for another title, and it will be the first title the Lakers have won since Kobe Bryant’s era.
