Steph Curry To Produce Basketball Drama ‘Signing Day’ With John Legend

Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry will spend some time outside the floor because he broke his hand. The three-time NBA champion is joining forces with John Legend. Curry’s company Unanimous Media will work with Legend’s Get Lifted Film Co. and Sony Pictures to make a basketball movie. “Signing Day” is expected to be a great drama as noted by Variety’s Justin Kroll.

According to Kroll, the movie is “in the vein of ‘Jerry Maguire.’” The plot surrounds a sports agent who uses illegal tactics in order to ink a deal with a young star. Curry’s drama will have a female lead who will play the sports agent at odds.

The agent is desperately trying to sign the star, and she uses unethical ways to get him under contract. At the end of the drama, the agent realizes it is better to be honest, and find a way to sign the player in a moral fashion.

Adam Hoff signs the film

Unanimous Media works on other projects based on sports and family.

When it comes to Curry and his season with the Golden Stat, he may not return for the season. The superstar was expected to return to the floor in three months. According to recent reports, Curry will have a second surgery on his hand, and this may delay his recovery. Without Curry, the Warriors have zero chance to make the playoffs. They are already playing without Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala and a few others. Losing Curry to an injury was the last thing the Warriors needed. But, you can’t predict a fracture.

Curry thought he’d help the team win a title this season, but the Warriors don’t really have much luck in the process. They struggle to win games, and things don’t look good at all. Let’s see what happens by the end of the regular season. Impossible is nothing, and head coach Steve Kerr is sort of confident about his squad.

Curry will have enough time to work on his companies and other businesses. If his hand doesn’t recover on time, he will have to find a new hobby to stay busy.
