Tom Brady Admits He’s Still Not Over Super Bowl LII Loss To Eagles

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady helped the New England Patriots win their sixth Super Bowl. He did that with the help of many different players. Brady and head coach Bill Belichick are the only cnstants that have remained the same in New England. Well, Brady still can’t get over a few losses, including the Super Bowl LII loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Let’s not forget that the Eagles are next on his list.

The GOAT appeared on WEEI’s Greg Hill Show Monday morning, and talked about his feelings about the loss. Is he over it? Of course not. According to the quarterback, the loss left a lot of mental scar tissue. He admits it was a tough game.

“You assume I’m over it?” Brady said. “Come on, now! That’s a lot of mental scar tissue from that year. That was a tough game.”

Yes, it was a big bite for his team, but Brady played an excellent football. He set a Super Bowl record with 505 passing yards.

TB12 believes that losing to Philadelphia was a springboard past the Los Angeles Rams when his team returned to the Super Bowl a year later.

The Patriots learned a lot from this loss, and came back much stronger. Brady doesn’t deny the fact that everything is a matter of perspective, and he knows that the NFL has a lot of great teams. I mean, you can’t defeat them all, right?

Losing to the Eagles was a big lesson

“In a lot of ways, I think we learned from that year and came back stronger,” Brady said. “Everything is a matter of perspective. I think when you play in that game and you play great teams, you’re not going to win them all. This is not the Harlem Globetrotters vs. the Washington Generals.”

The only game New England lost this season was the match against the Baltimore Ravens. Second-year signal-caller Lamar Jackson is really fast, and Belichick said he would be the biggest problem for the Patriots. He was right. Jackson played really well during the game, and he outplayed his opponents.

This loss is another good lesson for the Patriots. They will return a lot stronger in the next game against the Ravens. If they meet again, of course. Even former Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi agrees on that one. The Patriots need to take whatever lesson they got from the loss to Baltimore.

Brady is 42, and he is set to become free agent in March. Will he leave the Patriots? Will he leave the NFL? There are so many questions we’d like to ask. It’s a big season for everyone.
