Tom Brady Comments On His Relationship With Julian Edelman

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and wide receiver Julian Edelman have built a strong relationship, and you can see that in their production on the field.

The New England Patriots picked Edelman in the sixth round of the 2009 draft as a punt returner. Today, he is one of Brady’s favorite targets. These two are also great friends. Brady and his receiver won three Super Bowls together, and their relationship is stronger with ever game they play.

TB12 has kind thoughts of his friend and teammate. He talked about it during a recent conversation with WBZ’s Scott Zolak.

In this conversation, Brady mentioned that Edelman grew up in the Bay Area and went to college at San Mateo which is two minutes from his house. Edelman also went to Kent State, and New England picked him as a punt returner. His career is amazing, and Brady likes watching him grow and evolve as a player, teammate and person. Edelman grows into an excellent leader, and Brady respects that. The quarterback respects his relationship with Edelman, and is really proud of him. According to Brady, Edelman has been an incredible teammate, player and friend.

The receiver position has seen a lot of changes this season, but Edelman is still here. He won’t go anywhere. Yes, Edelman has a great productive year, and that doesn’t go unnoticed.

The GOAT admires Edelman’s great season, adding that the receiver has a brand of football that everyone on the team and their fans respect. Brady went on explaining that Edelman is “a hard-nosed grinder” and “overachiever.” That’s his style. It’s funny how Edelman plays his best football when things get hard and dirty. Brady also mentioned that he really relies on Edelman during games.

New England was handed the first loss of the season by the Baltimore Ravens. Edelman’s fumble was one of the mistakes the Patriots made in Sunday’s game, but Brady doesn’t mind that, because he really trusts his teammate and friend.

The Patriots have their bye week, and stand at a 8-1 record. The Philadelphia Eagles are next on their list. Game on, Patriots!
