Tom Brady, LeBron James Exchange Funny Tweets About Each Other’s Retirement

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Lakers superstar LeBron James are the best players in their respective sports. They have so much in common. Work ethics, discipline, success, championships and retirement. Just kidding. Retirement is the last thing LeBron and Brady think of. They are more interested in winning a championship. LeBron promised to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to the NBA Finals, and Brady is off to winning his seventh ring. It’s time to surprise fans with a few tweets!

So, these two decided to joke about their retirement, and LeBron was the first to start. He said that he and Brady were “one in the same” in reference to their longevity and career success. Brady noticed the quote, and responded to the king of basketball via Twitter.

LeBron first said the two stars plan to “play until they can’t walk no more,” and Brady added that he will be playing until he can’t dunk anymore. He tagged LeBron, of course.

It didn’t take too long for the Lakers superstar to respond. “Well I’m playing until I can’t throw TD passes anymore,” he tweeted back two hours later.

The tweets say it all

In other words, these two won’t retire in near future. Brady bought a new home in Connecticut, but he bought it to add some freshness to his life. He needed something new, and he put up his old Boston home up for a sale, because he knows that selling a property is quite a challenge.

Brady is playing his best football, and his body coach Alex Guerrero said he may play until 46 or 47. It’s a big claim, but Brady can do it all. Of course, he has to stay healthy to play a few more seasons.

When it comes to LeBron, he hasn’t even mentioned the word ‘retirement.’ He plays great, and has already proved doubters wrong. LeBron will be 35 in December, but that doesn’t mean a thing. He will show the first aging signs at some point, but let’s not think about that. Let’s focus on the season, and the next games.

The Patriots are winning, and the Lakers are the best in the league. It’s time to celebrate, right?
