Warriors Provide Update On Stephen Curry After Broken Hand Issue

The Golden State Warriors had a rough start of the 2019-20 NBA season. Steph Curry’s broken hand was the last drop.

The superstar guard suffered a broken hand injury in the team’s loss to the Phoenix suns. The Golden State announced that Steph is set to miss three months after his surgery. He will be reevaluated after that period.

Klay Thompson is definitely out for the season, and there are trade rumors surrounding Draymond Green. We all know what that means.

Draymond, D’Angelo Russell and head coach Steve Kerr will try to save the team’s chance to make the playoffs. Without Curry, that’s impossible.

“It’s been a tough start for us on many levels, so we’re just trying to find our footing,” the head coach admitted Wednesday. “This puts us in a tough spot. … It’s a great opportunity for these young guys to play, but it’s also a little bit too much. You want to bring along rookies as best you can and we’re just putting so much on their plate, but we have no choice.”

“Well, we all knew this was inevitable at some point. It doesn’t make it any easier when you lose guys who you’ve counted on, become close with, and so so much change in the off-season was really — even though we knew it was coming at some point, it’s still jarring.”

Warriors general manager Bob Myers discussed the possible reconstruction of the team.

“We believe that things take time to evolve, and we’re prepared especially with a younger roster to allow that to happen, and that’s the mindset that we have from a coaching staff, from a front office staff, is let’s see how things are going before we make any blanket decisions or judgment on any of it,” Myers said at Warriors Media Day.

Curry is out for at least three months, and the Warriors will be lost without him. The same happened to the Los Angeles Lakers last season following LeBron James’ groin strain. The Lakers were out of the playoff race, and the Warriors will go through the same scenario. That’s how the NBA rolls.
