LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Atlanta Hawks, and the 122-101 win was marked by a few important meetings on the floor. Lakers legend Kobe Bryant attended the game, and he shared a brief moment with King James. Bryant also met with Dwight Howard. So, these two events attracted all the attention. LeBron was so thrilled about the meeting, and he gave emotional tribute on his Instagram account.

In the first quarter of last night’s game against the Hawks, LeBron greeted Bryant in front of the crowd. After the king and his team smashed the Hawks, the four-time MVP posted a video and a few photos on Instagram to praise the legend.

“I’m just trying to continue the legacy you left behind the purple and gold. At the same time make you proud!” he wrote.

That’s exactly what happened. LeBron hit a nice 3-pointer following his meeting with the Black Mamba. This score gave the Lakers a 19-point cushion that helped them win the game.

LeBron finished the game with 33 points, seven rebounds and 12 assists in 33 minutes on the floor. It was a performance worthy of the high standards set by Kobe Bryant in a Lakers jersey.

Tribute to the rival

The former rivals are friends off the court despite their on-court rivalry years ago. LeBron is a Laker now, and he won’t retire before winning a championship.

When it comes to Bryant, we don’t really see him at the Staples Center. Wonder why? He’d rather stay at home and have fun with the kids.
