Watch: LeBron James Gets MVP Chants in San Antonio After Monster Game vs. Spurs

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the San Antonio Spurs, and a 114-104 win always looks good. LeBron James scored 33 points and 14 assists. The king of basketball was honored with MVP chants from a group of Lakers fans set in the stands at AT&T Center.

This happened as LeBron was doing his postgame interview with Spectrum Sportnet, a Los-Angeles based cable network that broadcasts the game of his team.

Well, the Lakers are well represented across the country, including San Antonio, Sacramento, Philadelphia and Boston.

LeBron was really effective on Monday, and his 3-point shot was incredible. He did 4-of-7 from beyond the arc.

King James wants to be able not to have any weaknesses and allow his defense to dictate his moves. The San Antonio Spurs helped him develop his jump shot, and today, he shoots really good. His first NBA Finals appearance in ’07 went under every screen, and LeBron was unable to shoot the ball like he is supposed to.

He wasn’t comfortable with shooting in the early beginnings of his career. LeBron is grateful for their scheme, and he is trying really hard to be the best player he can be.

In his first seasons in the league, LeBron was a mediocre 3-point shooter. He improved in the next few seasons. In the 2012-13 season, he shot 40.6 percent from downtown, en route to the championship against San Antonio.

MVP Chants for the King

“I just want to be able to not have any weaknesses and allow a defense to dictate what I do,” James said about developing his outside stroke over the years. “Because of the Spurs and a lot of my [struggles in my] early years is part of the reason why my jump shot is a lot better today. My first Finals appearance in ’07 [San Antonio] went under [every screen] and I didn’t shoot the ball [well]. I wasn’t comfortable with shooting the ball at that point in time in my career. So I give a lot of thanks to their scheme, a lot of thanks to a lot of other teams that I went against. I’m just trying to be the most complete basketball player I can be.”

Things look really good for the Lakers. LeBron had the best start of the season, and he showed everyone that his game is still at the highest level. King James scores triple-doubles in almost every game, and leads to team to a win every night. Anthony Davis is here to help the king accomplish his goal, and these two make the best duo in the league.

At the moment, LeBron’s team is 15-2, and they won’t stop here. It will be a long season for the team, and LeBron is ready for the challenge. Pretty much everyone improved this season, including Kyle Kuzma. He shoots well, and the Lakers will need all the shooting they can get to win games.
