Adam Schefter Crushes Patriots Fans’ Dreams With Gronk Tweet

The New England Patriots play their regular-season games without Rob Gronkowski. The tight end decided to call it career, and made his decision last offseason. It wasn’t the best decision New England hoped for, but Gronk had to make a decision. Head coach Bill Belichick wanted him to make a decision, because the team was getting ready for their offseason workouts. So, Gronkowski is out, and fans still say that he will stick around.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reminded everyone that Gronkowski won’t rejoin the Patriots. New England suffered a 28-22 loss to the Houston Texans.

The deadline for Gronkowski’s return was 4 p.m. ET on Saturday. This deadline came and went without the tight end joining his team. In other words, the Patriots have to think of a different solution to their problem. Let’s not forget that the Patriots still struggle on the offense, and Tom Brady can no longer hide his frustrations. He has had a lot of problems with the rookie receivers. Things got really bad in Houston, and Brady can no longer take this.

Gronk won’t come back

Schefter’s comments don’t come as a surprise. Gronkowski tried to convince others that he will stay retired. Of course, he liked to tease fans once in a while, but his decision is permanent. He won’t return this season. The Patriots won’t be able to use his help on the field. The team has seen zero production from their tight ends this season. It’s the first season since Gronk decided to retire.

The loss to the Texans pushed the Patriots to the No. 2 seed in the AFC standings behind the Baltimore Ravens. Brady and his team will play the Kansas City Chiefs in Foxboro this Sunday. It’s a much-anticipated rematch of last season’s AFC Championship Game. Let’s see what happens on Sunday. Brady will try to lead the team to another win. It will be hard, and the Patriots rookies better get ready for the big game. Will Antonio Brown join the team in the meantime? According to rumors, both coaches and players want him on the field. What does the NFL say about this?
