NFL Writer Predicts Tom Brady’s Status For 2020 Season

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady keeps making headlines with his future in the NFL. He is set to become a free agent in March, and fans already discuss his next move. Will Brady retire? Will he join a different team? Will he even play in 2020?

Brady will turn 43 before the start of the 2020 campaign, and the word ‘retirement’ is definitely an option. The six-time Super Bowl champion is also on an expiring contract, meaning he may hit free agency in the offseason. Will Brady be in the mood to play his 21st season in the NFL?

Several pundits have discussed the options Brady has. ESPN’s Bill Barnwell says that Brady will definitely stay in New England for the 2020 season.

“Patriots starter,” Barnwell wrote. “The juiciest scenario, of course, is that the 49ers fan who grew up in Northern California returns home and takes over the 49ers in some sort of reverse-Montana scenario. The 49ers can move on from Jimmy Garoppolo after the year without much dead money, and if Brady were to leave Foxborough, that would be a pretty obvious opening for Garoppolo to fill. There’s approximately a 0.000000001% chance of this happening, but it’s fun to think about.”

TB12 doesn’t really think about the 2020 campaign. He is more focused on the next game, and his team is playing the Kansas City Chiefs. The offense is still a major issue, and hopefully, Belichick will find a solution to the problem his team has. They will have to strengthen the receiving unit. New England keeps signing and releasing receivers, and some of their key players are injured. Brady needs a strong receiving unit, and the team better give him one, otherwise, New England may lose every chance to win the big game.

Brady’s retirement is not an issue at the moment. The Patriots will take care of that in the next few months. Robert Kraft will definitely try to keep the quarterback on the roster. Of course, Brady will stay around if he feels healthy enough. His body coach Alex Guerrero is here to give him a hand.
