Bill Belichick Responds To Antonio Brown’s Saints Visit

The New England Patriots cut Antonio Brown, and they don’t even think of the troubled wide receiver. Brown appeared at the New Orleans Saints workout, but Patriots head coach Bill Belichick doesn’t have a reaction to that.

When asked about Brown and his adventure in New Orleans, Belichick said, “Focused on Miami. Doesn’t really have anything to do with us.”

Will Brown ever get a chance to play in the NFL? He may be suspended or placed on the commissioner’s exempt list upon inking the deal. He’s been out of the NFL since being cut by the Patriots.

“When you bring in Antonio Brown for a workout in Week 17, you also get a camera crew and an entourage,” NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported on Saturday morning. “That’s what Antonio Brown showed up with yesterday — that’s what I was told — referred to by a Saints source as ‘the whole bleep show’ showed up with Antonio Brown.”

The Saints showed no interest in Brown.

“The process is something we take seriously, and it’s important relative to the makeup of the team,” said Payton, whose team is 12-3 entering Sunday’s regular season finale against the Panthers. “We’re doing our homework. I think part of that is credibility we’ve already established. There’s been a number of players that we’ve signed or drafted in years past. Some worked out, some haven’t.

“I had never met him before. So I had the opportunity to sit down and talk to him, just like I did with the other five players.”

Brown’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, accompanied the player to New Orleans for his workout. He also met with the team’s brass.

“Antonio had a very good visit today and we will continue our discussions with the Saints,” Rosenhaus said.

Things don’t look too good for Brown. He brings too much trouble on his back, and NFL teams don’t want to have anything to do with him. Brown still hopes to sign a deal with the team, but his chances are too low. Let’s see what happens in the next few months. He didn’t have too much luck.
