Concerning Update Emerges On Julian Edelman’s Shoulder Injury

The New England Patriots have a chance to earn their first-round bye with the Week 17 game against the Miami Dolphins. Well, one particular player needs this first-round bye more than any other player on the roster. Wide receiver Julian Edelman needs a break. The Patriots wide receiver is expected to play Sunday afternoon against the Dolphins despite nagging shoulder and knee injuries. The information was confirmed by NFL Media’s Mike Giardi.

Edelman’s knee ailment is the most talked-about issue. Well, it turns out that his shoulder issue is a major concern for the team.

“He continues to get treatment on his tendinosis in that left knee, and also his injured shoulder, which I’m told is actually worse than you could possibly imagine,” Giardi said Sunday morning. “But here he is, gutting it out.”

Edelman has been the Patriots’ sole consistent offensive player this season.  He has 97 catches for 1,091 yards and six touchdowns. The Patriots will need him more in the playoffs than against Miami, but it looks like the team will let him play through a shoulder injury.

The veteran wideout and his team will receive a much-needed bye week with a win over Miami. The Patriots would clinch the AFC’s No. 2 seed if the Kansas City Chiefs lose their game with the Los Angeles Chargers. This will be an easy game for New England, but they need to win it.

Head coach Bill Belichick has already led the team to a win in Week 2 of the regular season. He will compete against his former assistant coach Brian Flores. Going against a former assistant is the least likely scenario for a head coach, but Flores has zero chance to defeat Belichick. Let’s not forget that Belichick is the GOAT of all coaches. He will definitely lead the team to another Super Bowl.

Belichick has had the right winning formula this whole time. However, he can’t win the game by himself. He needs the players to execute the plan. They had some struggles, especially the offense, but something changed last Saturday. Will New England defeat Flores’ Dolphins?
