Colin Cowherd Wants To Give Tom Brady A Special Gift As Postseason Nears

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is getting ready for a tough postseason run. The Patriots won the AFC East, and they are off to another Super Bowl win. Colin Cowherd decided to surprise the Patriots quarterback and help him in the process.

The collective unit has had flashes of high upside over the course of the regular season, but it was rough to go of it for New England’s receiving corps throughout the campaign. Wide receiver Julian Edelman struggled with injuries and had an incredible season. The rest of this group was… pedestrian. How will the Patriots offense handle the rest of the season?

Colin Cowherd came up with a solution to the problem. He hopes to provide a nice gift for TB12.

“Well, I’ve given this great thought. Uncle Colin is gonna give Tom Brady jetpacks for Christmas, which, in turn, he can give to his wide receivers who, in turn, can get separation,” Cowherd said on FS1’s “The Herd.” “His wide receivers rank 20th by Pro Football Focus. They haven’t scored 25-plus points — just once since October. They need some jet propulsion in that receiving corps.”

New England’s receiving corps certainly could use some help, but Week 16 might have subdued some of the pressure on the squad. The Patriots were able to establish the running game in its important win over the Buffalo Bills, and if they are able to continue to do so in the next few weeks, head coach Bill Belichick’s team will sure have a ground-and-pound brand of football. This worked out last season as the team had a wild en route to a Super Bowl LIII victory.

While Cowherd’s gift probably won’t make it New England, TB12 and his team could be receiving a late Christmas present this weekend. The team can lock up the No. 2 seed in the AFC on Sunday with a victory over the Miami Dolphins at Gillette Stadium.

New England will finish the season with a huge win, and the Patriots nation can’t wait to see the squad win the Super Bowl again. It’s a brilliant season for New England.
