Lamar Jackson Responds To Tom Brady Challenging Him For Race

Lamar Jackson is one of the most talented quarterbacks in the National League. He is also the most likable signal-caller in the NFL. Lamar showed this and much more Thursday night in Baltimore.

The Ravens quarterback showed his full potential in his team’s 42-21 win over the New York Jets. Jackson broke Michael Vick’s single-season rushing record for a quarterback in the process. After Jackson hit Vick’s record, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady challenged the 22-year old to a footrace.

“Me vs Lamar, 40 Yard Dash on natural grass but he has to wear rollerblades,” Brady wrote. “Who’s buying the PPV?”

Jackson responded to Brady’s tweet.

“He probably can win that race,” the young Jackson said. “rollerblades on grass? Aw, man, I’ll see what I can do. Tom still got it a bit in him. I seen him, I seen him.

Lamar is ready for the challenge

Brady may have to receive a larger handicap if he would like to try and out-run his younger pal. Jackson is considered the NFL’s fastest quarterback. He entered Thursday night’s game with 1,017 rushing yards and stacked more rushing yards this regular season than Brady has in his entire NFL career. Brady has rushed for a cool 32 yards this regular season, and he has rushed for 1,035 yards during his tenure with the Patriots. He has 22 career touchdown runs, and this includes three touchdown runs on the regular season.

Brady has never been honored for his mobility and speed, but he is considered to be one of the best passers in NFL history. His postseasons are golden. TB12 has an incredible ability to read a defense and that’s one of the reasons that helped him stay this long in the NFL.

Brady’s challenge to his younger fellow will have to wait until the offseason. Baltimore and New England are competing for the AFC’s No. 1 seed entering into the playoffs. When it comes to the playoffs, Jackson will try to gain the success Brady had in his professional career.

Lamar will probably have an incredible career in the NFL, but he will have to try really hard to hit Brady’s milestones.
