Patriots Missing Another Offensive Starter At Practice Ahead Of Clash Vs. Bengals

The New England Patriots’ top pass-catcher appeared on the practice field Thursday, but their starting left tackle wasn’t present. The Patriots started off their session without another offensive starter.

Wide receiver Julian Edelman returned to the field after missing yesterday’s session. He sat out the practice for load management purposes. Edelman struggles with knee and shoulder injuries. Media members didn’t notice Isaiah Wynn during the open media period.

We don’t know the reasons Wynn had to miss the session. This is a rather unexpected development for the Patriots’ offense. Head coach Bill Belichick didn’t plan any of this. The offensive unit has been struggling throughout the entire season. Wynn missed his rookie season with a torn Achilles and eight games of this season with turf toe. However, his name hasn’t been added to the injury report since his return in Week 12.

Wynn struggled in the game against the Kansas City Chiefs. He allowed one sack and three hurries. Wynn also committed a false start on the Patriots’ final possession. If he doesn’t suit up for the game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Marshall Newhouse will play at left tackle.

Center Ted Karras practiced for the second straight day as he is trying to recover from the knee injury that kept him out of Sunday’s loss to Kansas City. Karras was a limited participant in Wednesday’s session.

The Bengals issue is still here

The Patriots have another major problem at the moment. The NFL is conducting an investigation into the incident in Cleveland. A Patriots production cameraman was spotted in the press box in Cleveland. He was recording segments of the game against the Bengals. Cincinnati didn’t like this, and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league will take into consideration the Patriots’ history with scandals of this type.

New England was making headlines during Spygate and Deflategate. Will they be fined for Scoutgate?

Head coach Bill Belichick said his team has zero involvement in the incident. The film crew didn’t know anything about the NFL rules. New England took responsibility for the problem. Let’s see what happens by the end of the week.

New England has three games remaining of the season.
