Patriots Rule Out One, Four Questionable For Game Vs. Bills

The New England Patriots are ready for their clash against the Buffalo Bills. They have two games left on the regular season. Home games are always easy for New England. Well, yes, they did lose a game at home, but that’s nothing in comparison with all the games they won. The Bills are considered a solid opponent, and they have already challenged head coach Bill Belichick earlier in the season. For now, New England had to rule out one player, and four are listed as questionable.

The Patriots officially ruled slot cornerback Jonathan Jones out for Saturday’s game against the Bills.

Jones has not missed a game since the start of the last season. The cornerback did not practice this week after leaving last Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals due to a groin injury. Now that he is out, New England will have to find a solution for covering Cole Beasley. He is Buffalo’s productive slot receiver.

Wide receiver Julian Edelman and cornerback Jason McCourty are listed as questionable.

OUT

DB Jonathan Jones, Groin

QUESTIONABLE

LB Ja’Whaun Bentley, Knee

LB Jamie Collins, Shoulder

WR Julian Edelman, Knee / Shoulder

CB Jason McCourty, Groin

Will New England rule out another player?

Edelman has not missed a game in the regular season. However, he was limited against the Cincinnati Bengals and caught just two passes on five targets for a season-low nine yards. McCourty has missed three of the last four contests. He played just four defensive snaps in the other game. Well, he still recovers from the terrible groin issue.

Collins was added to Wednesday’s injury report. He hasn’t missed a game since joining the Patriots. The linebacker ranks third in defensive snaps played in the regular season, and he is placed right behind safety Devin McCourty and cornerback Stephon Gilmore and seventh in special teams snaps played.

Although the Bills are considered a challenge, New England will finish the season with an easy game. The Miami Dolphins are an easy bite for Tom Brady and his teammates. New England is 11-4 at this point of the season. Will they add another win to this record? They sure will. Game on, Pats!
