Stephon Gilmore Reveals The Feeling Of Returning Interception For TD

Andy Dalton had no luck in the battle again Stephon Gilmore at Paul Brown Stadium. The Patriot picked off the Bengals quarterback on the team’s first possession of the second half, but Dalton decided to test his power against Gilmore again on the next drive. The Bengals had no luck on that one, too. The All-Pro cornerback intercepted another pass and returned it for six.

Following his stellar performance, Gilmore talked to Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders who happens to know a few things about these tricks. Gilmore discussed talked about the feelings he got when making a trip to the end zone.

The feeling was awesome, and Gilmore knew he had to catch it. Going in the end zone is like a dream come true for every player.

“You know, it’s just a great feeling,” Gilmore said on NFL Network’s “NFL GameDay Prime.” “You know how it is when you break on it. You’re like, ‘I hope he throws it.’ You just gotta catch it. When you see green grass, that’s the plays you dream of growing up as a kid. Housing a great quarterback and, you know, getting in the end zone. That’s what it’s all about.”

Gilmore has yet to allow a touchdown on the regular season. He is tied for the league lead in interceptions with six. Should he end the season with strong showings against the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins, he could easily snatch the Defensive Player of the Year honor.

The Patriots have two games left of the regular season, and the Bills are the only team that gives head coach Bill Belichick a headache. But, the Patriots have already been here, and they know how to shut down the Bills. Let’s see if they will be able to control the team on Saturday. Miami is no longer a threat for Tom Brady. The Dolphins play really bad this season, and hopefully, the Patriots will take advantage of that. Coach Bill Belichick knows a few things about the game. I mean, he is the GOAT among all coaches in the league. He has this under control.
