Throwback Photos of LeBron James That Prove He Has Always Been The GOAT

LeBron James is the most talented basketball player, and he has always impressed others with his impeccable skills. LeBron was a standout in high school, and it was more than obvious that he’d be a star one day. The day has arrived, and today, LeBron is the greatest of all times. There are a bunch of throwback photos to prove that.

In one of these photos, LeBron stands next to his teammates Sian, Willie McGee and Little Dru a.k.a. the Fab Four. At that point LeBron was a freshman on the basketball team at St. Vincent-St. Marry High School in Akron, Ohio.

King James led his team to series of firsts, and he was the most successful player in high school basketball. LeBron helped the team with three division titles, and was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated in his junior year. He was named Ohio Mr. Basketball three times, and joined the USA Today All-USA First Team in three different occasions.

Even before King James was drafted into the big league, Nike offered him an endorsement deal worth $90 million.

By 2003, LeBron was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers as a first overall pick of the NBA draft. He became a real-life celebrity overnight, and was invited to shows like MTV’s TRL in 2003 and many others.

In another photo, 2003 Cavaliers teammate Darius Miles sits next to LeBron during a game against the Orlando Magic in the Pepsi Pro Summer League. It was played at TD Waterhouse Centre on July 8, 2003 in Orlando, Florida.

At the 2003 ESPY Awards at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California, LeBron was the star. He stole everyone’s attention, and we bet he enjoyed being in the spotlight. He worked really hard to get here, and he is more than proud of his success.

In the last photo of our selection, LeBron focuses on his 2003 preseason game against the Milwaukee Bucks on October 13, 2003 at Gund Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

He was a star back then, and today he is the GOAT. LeBron and his Lakers are off to a title this season.
