Tom Brady Tells Never-Before-Told Story Of Offseason Meeting With Peyton Manning

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Peyton Manning have been archrivals for several years. However, both superstars were close friends off the gridiron. They are still great friends despite the rivalry on the field.

Manning was added to the NFL 100 All-Time Team on Friday. Brady had the same honor too. He was a panelist for the NFL Network special that aired on Friday. The Patriots quarterback discussed his rival and decided to bring up a never-told story about his meeting with Manning for a few days one offseason. The former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback sure remembers this story.

Brady praised Manning’s amazing workout routine. They both learned something new, and it was a meeting of two great forces. Brady respects greatness, and he can always recognize true potential.

“Peyton and I obviously had a great friendship over the years and still do. And one story that probably, I don’t think I’ve ever really told. Maybe a few people, but one offseason we got together to talk football for two or three days. Just the two of us. And I took a lot of things from it, you know, and we worked out together.

“Peyton had his little scripted workout that, you know, ‘I’ve got to make two throws running right’ and I said ‘what if you want to make three running to the right?’ ‘Well, I don’t know, I just do two.’ The workout was so structured and it was a lot of fun.”

TB12 currently is tied with his rival for the second-most touchdown passes in NFL history with 539. Brady will be given a chance to pass Manning when the Pats play the Miami Dolphins in the final game of the regular season.

This game may be easy for the Patriots, but it’s of great importance for the team. New England needs this win to seal a great win.
