Watch: James White Hauls 23-Yards Touchdown

The New England Patriots are playing the Cincinnati Bengals. It’s an easy game for New England, but the Bengals don’t give up. They are making things hard for the Patriots. Cincinnati has 96 rushing yards on the day, and they already have an early three-point lead. Things weren’t supposed to go this way. New England had James White rushing for a touchdown, but the team has to try harder than expected.

White hauled in a screen pass from Brady on third-and-10 and followed key blocks by center Ted Karras, left guard Joe Thuney and right guard Shaq Mason into the end zone for a 23-yard touchdown.

White had another catch earlier in the drive, which covered 75 yards in eight plays. Rookie wide receiver N’Keal Harry was on the field for seven of those plays after playing just two last games.

The Patriots have difficulties containing the Bengals’ ground game on the second possession before holding Cincinnati to a field goal.

Three-and-out for New England. White had a pass on second down, and TB12 was drilled as he released a third-down incompletion to his favorite target, Julian Edelman.

The Bengals won’t back down. They responded to the Patriots’ opening score with a nine-play, 75-yard touchdown drive of their own. The first eight plays of the series were rushes, headlined by a highlight-reel 29-yard scamper by Joe Mixon. Andy Dalton finished the drive with an 8-yard touchdown pass to tight end Cethan Carter. Carter was matched up 1-on-1 against slot corner Jonathan Jones, who has not played up to his highest performance in the last few games.

Rookie Harry is given more responsibilities than the previous few games. He had a jet sweep for 10 yards, blocked off the wing on a running play and lined up in the slot on multiple snaps. This incredible game gives the Patriots great advantage on the field. They really trust the first-round rookie, and Harry is expected to take even more responsibilities in the next two games.

Will New England win this game? They better win this. Losing to the Bengals would give Max Kellerman a big reason to slam the Patriots.
