Watch: Mic’d Up Moments From Patriots’ AFC East-Clinching Win Over Bills

The New England Patriots will end the decade as AFC East champions. That’s how they started it after all. New England secured the 11th consecutive division title Saturday with an incredible 24-17 win over the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium. The team celebrated the victory Tuesday with a tweet containing a mic’d up video featuring some of the best moments from their Week 16 victory in Foxboro.

New England did an excellent job of moving the ball in the game. However, like other games in the regular season, the team had to settle for several field goals on drives that looked promised great things. New England has yet to find a replacement for Rob Gronkowski. The big Gronk was brilliant in the red zone.

Both Matt LaCosse and Rex Burkhead had touchdowns in the red zone in the game. Maybe head coach Bill Belichick will use them as an answer for some of the tricky situations on the field.

The defense had a lot of ups and downs during the game. At some points, they stopped Josh Allen and the Bills’ offense from moving around. Other times, players had difficulties and gave Allen great opportunities to hand New England another loss. The game was full of miscommunications, breakdowns, big plays, and the final drive had defensive players allowing Allen to move freely.

Patrick Chung was defeated by Dawson Knox in the game and he was lucky on several Allen overthrows. Stephon Gilmore allowed his first touchdown in coverage in the regular season. A lineman had a red zone touchdown against a group of great defensive players.

The positive is the team made plays when they had to. JC Jackson provided some phenomenal breakups in the game, including the match-ending one on a fourth down near the goal line.

New England can secure the No. 2 seed in the AFC with a victory over the Miami Dolphins or a Kansas City Chiefs loss in Week 17. The Baltimore Ravens defeated Tom Brady’s team in Week 9, and they are already locked up the No. 1 seed Sunday with a win over the Cleveland Browns.
