The New England Patriots host the Miami Dolphins at Gillette Stadium for the final game of the regular season. The game didn’t start too well for the Patriots, and the Dolphins took the lead early in the game. New England’s offense was brilliant last week, but they couldn’t repeat the same greatness in the first two quarters of the game. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady couldn’t connect with his teammates at the beginning of the game. After several unsuccessful attempts, Brady connected with Phillip Dorsett.
New England’s passing game was sputtering on the field in the first half of the game. however, there were few great gains on the group that helped them boost the game.
After a defensive pass interference call against Dorsett moved the chains on third down, New England ripped off runs of 8, 9, 9 and 14 yards on consecutive plays to move into Miami’s territory. N’Keal Harry defeated former Patriots practice squad cornerback Nat Brooks for 18 yards on a back-shoulder ball, but the Patriots were bad in the end zone.
The Patriots offense had an authoritative drive. It was about time that this happens. After Harry picked up a first down on an end-around, Brady hit Dorsett for a 50-yard touchdown down the left sideline. This was Dorsett’s first catch since Week 13.
New England has to stay strong on the home field. It looks like the Dolphins will give the Patriots a terrible headache at Gillette Stadium. However, head coach Bill Belichick has a few surprises for his former assistant. Brian Flores is now a head coach for the Miami Dolphins, but his coaching skills can’t be compared to Belichick’s greatness.
The Patriots will have to try really hard to win this game. They need this win to lock up the No. 2 seed. Of course, New England has already won the Week 2 game against the Dolphins, and they have huge chances to win the game again. How will this game end for the Patriots? Will they leave the stadium as winners? We can already see them win another title. It’s a big game for the Pats.
