LeBron Responds to Hearing MVP Chants From Fans
After the loss against Orlando, the Los Angeles Lakers scored an easy win against the Houston Rockets. LeBron James proved once again his abilities to play at an elite level with 31 points in the game. The NBA legend carried the game throughout all quarters and even without Anthony Davis on the floor, showed no signs of slowing down. His performance earned him MVP chants from the crowd in Houston, to which The King said it was truly humbling. He also didn’t forget to mention the team and the joint efforts from all players.
“It’s so humbling … Being able to do it at a high level with a great team and a historical franchise like the Lakers I couldn’t ask for anything better than that,” said LeBron.

A lot of Lakers fans were present at the Toyota Center and that certainly impacted the noise level toward the end of the game. Regardless, the MVP chants were rightfully earned.

The fact that James’ game is still at an MVP level in his 17th season is other-worldly and well-worthy of the recognition he receives.
There is going to be a huge void to fill in the league once he decides to retire. However, so far he keeps proving that those days are still far away as he continues to dominate the floor.
At the end of the day, fans on both sides were just grateful to witness yet another world class performance from James.
