2020 NFL Mock Draft: Patriots Find Next Rob Gronkowski

The New England Patriots are out of the big game this season. Tom Brady and his teammates won the Super Bowl last year, but things didn’t go really well this season. The defending champions lost the Week 17 game to the Miami Dolphins and had to play a wild-card game against the Tennessee Titans. It was a loss for New England, and the season was over. The Patriots’ offense struggled in almost every game this season, and it’s more than obvious that the Patriots miss Rob Gronkowski on the field. According to the 2020 NFL Mock Draft, New England will find a replacement for the star tight end.

Josh McDaniels once said that replacing Gronk would be quite a challenge. Well, it’s almost impossible to replace the best tight end in the NFL. Gronk had so much to offer, and his career was brilliant. Unfortunately, he was plagued with injuries, and his pain was unbearable. That’s why he decided to retire.

The 2020 NFL Draft order is a top topic now, and there are four weeks left of the season. Eight teams are still here. Three quarters of the NFL teams are focused on the offseason. Head coaches have started working on their rosters in order to go to Tampa, Florida in February 2021.

The first two picks are cut, and the real deal starts at No. 3 overall with the Detroit Lions and their readiness to take different direction. Four quarterbacks are picked in the first round, and that’s acceptable for teams not in the market chasing for a quarterback.

CBS Sports has analyzed the weakness of every team, and we have the results of the 2020 NFL Mock draft. This draft order relies on the results of the Wild Card Weekend.

New England has issues with the offense. According to this mock draft order, they may find the new Rob Gronkowski.

“In watching Cole Kmet, there are evident shades of Rob Gronkowski. It was a natural fit. Kmet has developed well as a player. He is not overly fast but he is strong. His hands have proven to be very reliable as well.”
