NFL Legend Says Tom Brady Staying With Patriots, No Way Moving Out Of New England

Brady will become a free agent for the first time in his career this 2020 season. There have been a lot of speculations about him leaving the Patriots and signing with another team. The 42-year-old said that he’s heading into the offseason with an open mind and he’s reportedly “prepared” to speak with other teams. Fans are having a hard time accepting that and one NFL legend agrees.

The New York Jets quarterback Joe Namath can’t wrap his head around Brady taking his talents outside of Foxboro.

“It’s almost beyond my belief that he would go to another team under any circumstances,” Namath said. “I can’t imagine that separation. Moving out of the New England area that he’s been so accustomed to, and his family, that’s a hard thing, too. I don’t think he’ll ever leave that totally behind, I really don’t.”

Namath’s former team is one of the many who would like to see Brady flee the AFC East. It can be easily assumed that pretty much every team in the NFL would like to land the G.O.A.T.

Others Convinced Brady Will Change Team

On the other hand, neither Stephen A. Smith nor Max Kellerman believe that the quarterback will return to the New England Patriots next season.

“According to some article I think I read on NFL.com, (the Titans have) about 60.1 million (dollars) in projected cap space, but they’ve got a slew of people that they need to spend that money on with some longer-term commitments,” Smith said.

“If you’re talking about a swan song, if you’re talking about the twilight of your career ending in an ideal circumstance, what better way can it be than staying in the same conference, playing for a guy who is a friend who’s incredibly familiar with what you do, what you bring to the table, especially when you have weapons.”

Brady is an NFL legend and wherever he decides to play, he will definitely be successful.
